Whether or not you think in the old Chinese practice of harnessing mystical Chi energies referred to as Feng Shui, there’s no harm checking some of the design principles it holds in effectively arranging your residence furniture and bedroom sets to channel these energies to your benefit. Some of them are straightforward practical guides that are nicely worth adopting. Here are some.
Bedroom Size and Color
Even though a room size is not as crucial as other aspects of a bedroom, one that’s too significant or too small is stated to have negative effects as the chi energy is easily dissipated in the former or can’t circulate properly enough in the latter. So what’s the appropriate size? Feng Shui doesn’t tell but one that enables reasonable space between furniture should be enough. But regardless of the size, the colors of the room can offset the negative effects.
Feng Shui recommends lush and soothing colors like pastels or earth and sky tones. Refrain from employing shocking or jarring colors like hot pinks and reds, except for accents. Darker hues can make huge rooms really feel cozier although lighter colors in wall papers, bed covering and curtains can make smaller rooms seem larger.
